Blue White Medical is a South African multi-disciplinary medical service, repair, and manufacturing company based in Silverton, Pretoria. Since 2001, we have worked alongside hospitals, surgical clinics, and central sterile services departments across the country. We repair and service rigid and semi-rigid endoscopes and capital medical equipment. We also design and manufacture patient comfort positioning kits, medical instrument trays, hospital carts, and other stainless-steel hospital furniture.

We hold a SAHPRA licence and run an ISO 13485-certified quality management system. Hospitals and clinics can count on our repair work and manufactured products to meet the standards their patients and staff need.

Johan Grobler founded Blue White Medical in 2001 as a Closed Corporation. He ran it alone at first, doing minor rigid endoscope repairs for local hospitals.

Specialist repair training
In 2005, he completed specialist training with Global Endoscopy Inc. in rigid endoscope repair and rebuilds.
Patient-positioning development
By 2009, the business had moved beyond repair work into manufacturing. It developed patient positioning kits for spinal operating tables, its first product in the design and manufacturing line that is now Blue White Medical Holdings.
Local repair-centre partnership
In 2013, an international medical equipment supplier appointed Blue White Medical as its authorised local repair centre for rigid and semi-rigid endoscopes.
Growth across three divisions
From 2015, the company grew across three areas: endoscope repair, capital equipment servicing, and manufacturing positioning kits, sheet metal products, instrument trays, and hospital carts. Since then we've added hospitals, clinics, and distributor partnerships across Gauteng and the rest of the country.
Three divisions, one experienced team
Johan Grobler still leads the company as founder and CEO. Blue White Medical Holdings now runs as three divisions.

One technician started this company, repairing endoscopes on his own. The team he built now works to minimize South African healthcare's reliance on foreign manufacturers. We want hospitals, clinics, and device distributors to get equipment repaired and manufactured in South Africa, without the wait that comes from sourcing parts or services overseas.
We carry out every repair and manufacture every product under our ISO 13485-certified quality management system. Our SAHPRA licence, current for 2024 to 2029, covers endoscope repair, capital equipment servicing, and medical device manufacturing.
